Design and welcoming atmosphere: Alba in the heart of Turin

The project, featuring the charming Alba cooker hood, is set within a residential development in a historic district of Turin, which runs alongside the River Po, close to the city’s green areas and has become, over time, one of the city’s trendiest neighbourhoods.

For this reason, the flat is particularly well bathed in natural light streaming in through the large windows.

At first glance, the living area appears very welcoming thanks to its open-plan layout and the choice of furnishings and décor in warm colours, coordinated without any significant contrasts.

Alba, designed for Falmec by Saggia&Sommella, is installed in the false ceiling above an impressive cooking peninsula.
Its glass frame is the only visible element of the entire extractor system, making it an ideal ceiling-mounted solution for those who favour a sophisticated and elegant style.

The clean, transparent line of the glass around the entire perimeter is enhanced by LED lighting that also illuminates the hob.
As well as featuring perimeter extraction, it has a white panel that can be painted to perfectly match the colour of the ceiling, if required.

The kitchen counter is deliberately faced towards the table, allowing the owners to share all their daily moments and social life. The large white dining table is adorned with a pendant lamp made of intertwined wires, creating a light, textured effect that allows light to pass through. It is a feature which, like Alba, furnishes the space elegantly whilst also serving a practical purpose in everyday life.

Finally, the armchairs are upholstered in light grey bouclé fabric and their harmonious shape, which is echoed in many details throughout the room, envelops the seat.

The entire home is the result of a renovation that has preserved its original character whilst enhancing it, thanks to the choice of pieces with a minimalist design that are particularly striking as they are unique and decorative elements within the overall architecture.
