'The Ca' Brutta building, designed by Giovanni Muzio in 1922, is a symbolic example of the architectural history of the city of Milan. The owners' request for a contemporary home both in style and living space made it inevitable to be in contrast to the building's important history. The existing layout was divided into small rooms connected by corridors, in a very classical design.'
The existing structure and the Venetian floor combine elegantly with the dominating green colour chosen for the furniture and worktop.
'The house is developed on the path that progressively crosses the different degrees of privacy specific to each environment. Much attention is devoted to filter devices to mediate the relationship between spaces of differing importance.'
