The renovation project of an old flat on the Sorrentine peninsula, has totally reconfigured the space to realise a young family's dream. The kitchen is the centrepiece of the entire living area, called "my kingdom" by the owner, a renowned pastry chef.
Using wooden furnishings and decorative elements, the house has been redeveloped into a large living space that is broken down and reconfigured into functional sub-divisions in search of alignments and visual bounces. The entrance, living room, dining room and kitchen are all redefined as separate zones closely connected within one single area.
To complete the area, there is a large matt charcoal-coloured wall, developed at full height and equipped with appliances, storage modules and pantry, inside of which is a capacious open compartment for the storage of everyday utensils.
The honey-coloured parquet-effect flooring changes from one room to another. In the living area, the slats are stripped, like the plank of a ship, while in the sleeping area they follow each other with an Italian herringbone layout.
