From November 20th up to January 14th, Falmec together with
“Stepan Zavrel” Foundation and the
International School of Child Illustration of Sarmede - launches the Bellaria Amica dei Sogni project for all kids to let their creativity free.
This charity initiative aims for a fundraising through an auction to sustain the
Genetic Passport project by the
Maria Letizia Verga Committee, which has the objective of studying and finding a therapy against child leukemia at the M. Tettamanti research laboratory in Monza.
Bellaria by Falmec is a decorative lamp but also an air purifier thanks to an active ionization system that reduces pollutants, viruses and bacteria. Even EPA (the Italian institute for environment protection) in a recent research has highlighted that indoor air is 5 times more polluted then outdoor air. Data that are worth a thought, above all if we care about children (that need some extra attention).
This is the reason why we asked kids to become protagonists of
Bellaria Amica dei Sogni, drawing their dreams which have been published on www.amicadeisogni.it and www.amicadeisogni.com and posted on Facebook and Instagram project accounts, using the hashtags #BellariaAmicaDeiSogni e #amicadeisogni. Website visitors have voted their favourite ones and the first three have been awarded with a Bellaria.
In the meantime, a selected jury of experts has chosen ten drawings as inspirationals for ten international Sarmede school artists who have re-interpreted them in a personal key decorating ten Bellaria. These ten models has become
pieces of art which will be exhibited in the Falmec EuroCucina FTK booth (Hall 13 / Booth A04 - A06).
Bellaria is not only functional and beautiful but also kind... once EuroCucina FTK will be over, all the decorated lamps will be auctioned and the whole income will be donated to the Maria Letizia Verga Committee to help research against child leukemia. To learn more:
